Our commitment to protecting Sri Lanka's environments, wildlife, and local communities

Travel Responsibly

Preserving the Wild Beauty of Sri Lanka

We believe that tourism should be a force for good. At Franky Tours, we strive to minimize our environmental footprint while maximizing positive contributions to the communities we visit.

As a small local tour operator, we see first-hand the impacts of climate change and over-commercialization on Sri Lanka's fragile ecosystems. That is why we integrate responsible travel guidelines into every itinerary we write.

Sri Lanka Wildlife Safari

1. Environmental Conservation

We actively encourage our guests to limit single-use plastics by providing refillable options where possible. We select eco-conscious resorts, eco-lodges, and campsites that utilize solar energy, recycle waste, and conserve water.

2. Ethical Wildlife Safaris

We follow strict wildlife guidelines. In parks like Yala, Udawalawe, and Minneriya, our drivers keep safe distances from animals, switch off engines at sightings, and never speed or chase wildlife. We support sanctuaries that treat animals with dignity.

3. Supporting Local Communities

We route tourism dollars directly into local hands. By choosing family-run guesthouses, dining at village restaurants, using local tuk-tuk drivers, and buying crafts directly from rural artisans, we support sustainable economic development.
